Edelman Australia acknowledges the Traditional Owners of lands on which we operate; the Gadigal, Wurundjeri, and the Yugambeh Peoples.
These lands and waters are, and always will be Aboriginal land. We also acknowledge the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leaders, past, present, and emerging. Through our work as professional storytellers we aim to carry their sport and ambitions in everything we do.
Edelman’s Reconciliation Action Plan
Edelman and the communications and marketing industry plays an important role in supporting the Reconciliation movement in Australia. In working toward a reconciled society, we believe that as professional storytellers and communicators, our team holds a position of influence, and our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) underpins our commitment to put that influence to work, driving real change and impact. We know that what mainstream Australia sees and hears is influenced by what we as an industry create on behalf of our clients. We believe if we can change the narrative, we can help change the outcomes.
As a leading communications business in Australia and across the globe, we plan to put this influence to work. We cannot consider ourselves fully representative of all cultures unless Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel welcome.
Developed in partnership with Reconciliation Australia, our REFLECT RAP 2021 – 2022 formalises Edelman Australia’s commitment to strengthening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander’s histories, creating meaningful and long-term relationships, and partnering to build opportunities for all.
