Influencer and Issues Mapping

 

Edelman’s Influencer and issues mapping methodology is a five-step systematic process by which key opinion leaders, who are involved in a particular issue, are identified and assessed in terms of their influence or a particular issue or industry.  Edelman works with its clients to understand, categorise and, ultimately, engage stakeholders that have the ability to influence and define a specific issue.

This mapping methodology is a mix of qualitative considerations and quantitative metrics.  Such an approach provides a road map for the findings to be strategically integrated across an entire organisation.

Edelman identifies and assigns a priority rating to key groups based on attitude to the organisation, relevance, visibility, prestige and reach as the basis for specific attention in the engagement program that follows.
